Be Real

Remember in high school how hard we all tried to fit in? What clothes we were wearing, what clique we belonged to, what music we listened to, how smart we pretended we were/weren't, how many friends we had, what sports we played and which parties we went to were all just part of figuring how to be you being real.
The sad part is that most of the time we were busy running around trying to be like everyone else we lost what was most valuable in our lives; being real.  It is not just about high school or college/university it goes as far as today.  We are constantly always trying to impress people at work, home or at the gym that we get end up getting lost and trying to figure out where we started.

Stop impressing people with who you are trying to be and just be you.  Be that raw version of yourself that allows you to feel vulnerable.  Be that exact person you wished you were as a kid.  It doesn't matter if you fit in with the right social group, matter of fact, that group doesn't deserve you if you aren't being you.  When you've accomplished this you'll feel lighter, happier and full, but most importantly, you'll feel real.

Stay true to who you are, your values in life, your goals and what makes you YOU.  Do not let the fear of acceptance get in your way.  Those who do not accept you for who you are, don't deserve you. People will always try to change you; but it is you who is responsible for you.
