Assumption

Assumption can be one of your worst enemies.  It can creep up and start stirring the dust up and making you create things in your mind that are false and untrue.  It can interfere with friendships, create chaos, strain relationships and can destroy self-esteem.  So why do we do it?
The term "broken telephone" or misinterpreting ones advice or communication between two people can suddenly imagine things that are untrue.  Let the assumption not get the best of you and if you don't understand something, ask.  Ask what it means.  Ask what they meant by it.  Just simply ask and stop assuming.  We all know the term "when you assume you make an ass out of u and me."

Don't assume someone else got the promotion over you, don't assume that your friend ditched you for someone better, don't assume that someone else is doing the work for you, don't assume that it'll be taken care of at a later date and most importantly, don't assume the wrong kind of context.

Assumption will do nobody else good.  It'll end up causing you stress over a disbelief.  Clarification can only make things better.

“Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in.” ― Isaac Asimov
