Time

When we were little Monday to Friday felt like an eternity.  It felt like Friday was never coming and that it would be a long boring week in elementary school. Often we would say "I wish it was Friday" or "I wish the week would go by faster." As we graduated through elementary school and started high school, college and university we began to do the opposite.  Nowadays it seems as though time is always on fast forward and that there isn't enough time in the day to get our "to do" lists done, to play with our kids at the park, to sit down and relax, to work out, to make a decent meal or to have a real conversation.  Now it seems as though we are always rushing and always saying I don't have time right now.

When will we begin to stop saying we don't have time? When does the time stop going so fast and start slowing down? When will we realize that this will always be our excuse for things? Stop fast forwarding your life and start living in the present moment, present hour, present day.  Start prioritizing things.  It is ok that you leave the housework for tomorrow if that means you have more time for your children or more time for your spouse.  Don't look back in your life and wish that you had more time, you can create more time.  No one wants to relook at their lives too late thinking "I should've spent a few more hours playing with my kids" or "maybe if I had of made time to workout that I wouldn't be sitting here overweight, diabetic, and slowly decreasing my time."

You can make more time by focusing on the things that are most important; your health, your happiness and your passions.  Don't be that person you never wanted to be, be that person you set out to be and swore you never would be.

"There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing." Brian Tracy
